From July 24 to 31, 2025, the 22nd Seoul International Experimental Film Festival (EXiS 2025) will take place at Cinematheque KOFA (Korean Film Archive) in Seoul.
🎞️ What is EXiS?
Since 2004, EXiS has been Asia’s largest platform for experimental cinema and moving image art.
EXiS showcases original works by filmmakers, video artists, and experimental media creators. This year, over 2,300 works from 82 countries were submitted over four months.
After a careful review process by the pre-selection committee, 34 films have been selected to be screened across 8 sections.

EXiS offers more than just film screenings.
The EX‑Now competition showcases Korean and international films separately, with 3 winners selected through a jury review.
The Asia Forum also offers theory-based seminars and media workshops, providing opportunities to learn and engage deeply with experimental cinema.
